I have an older HP LaserJet 1100 printer that I had used with a previous Dell.

It has been a shelf queen for a few years now. With the purchase of my MacBook Pro last October I had hoped to use my old HP printer with this laptop.

I could not find ANY drivers for Apple Macs. The entire Microsoft family of operating systems, Linux and OS2...yes..OS2...when was the last time you heard about IBMs stillborn OS?

Nothing for the Mac. Why not?
This is the response I got from HP's online service.

Thank you for contacting Hewlett-Packard's Commercial Solutions Center.

Kevin we understand that you are not able to use your printer with Mac OS X.

We apologies for this inconvenience but as this printer has been discontinued the best option is that you call to the 800-hp-invent(800-474-6836) and ask them about your concern.

Once again, thank you for contacting Hewlett-Packard's Commercial Solutions Center.
