Hello guys, I am trying to install an app and is not installing anything. See screenshot attached. It is just stuck in "waiting" forever... How I can resolve this issue? Thanks.

See if this works....go to the Settings app, General, Storage & iCloud Usage, then under the top section labelled Storage, go to Manage Storage. See if the app is in the list. If it is you should be able to select it and delete it.

It's not in the list... :(

Not good. I've had both sorts....the ones that appear in that list can be deleted. I also have one on my iPhone that I am having trouble deleting though since it doesn't appear in that list like another app that I had issues with did.
The app that I'm having an issue with also doesn't appear in my purchases history....that I can tell. It's label is "Monogram…" and I don't have anything like that in my purchase history. I'm wondering if it was one of the free apps that I tried to get and something happened.....maybe between selecting it for purchase and actually purchasing it.

I recall also having this issue another time.....and the only way that I could remove it was to backup to a computer, restore, then restore from backup and it didn't return.
That is annoying to do these days though since iTunes no longer transfers the app files to the computer and they will download again over wifi if you haven't been maintaining them in your iTunes library. I actually prefer the old way of having the full app in my device and backing up to iTunes.

That's weird because when I got this iPad, I upgraded to the latest version and then factory reset the iPad and setup as a new iPad. It should not have this issue really and this is a iPad mini 2.

No, you shouldn't have the issue. I think that there is a bug. I was able to delete one app since it was in that list, but now I've had the issue twice more. One app resolved with a restore, but I'm not sure that I want to do that again so I have been waiting to see if an update will fix it.

Yup... I can confirm that after powering the iPad off and turning back on... Fixed the issue. But it shouldn't be this way. Hopefully ios10 will fix this bug.

I've had that exact problem on and off for almost as long as iOS has existed so I wouldn't hold my breath. Fortunately it doesn't happen often and as you've discovered powering off (or a hard reboot sometimes) fixes the problem and normally it's a long time before it crops up again.

That bug has been around since iPhone OS 2. I remember having the issue with my iPod Touch. A simple restart usually does the trick.

Exact same thing happened to me yesterday! I live in philly area too. I had to delete and reinstall all the ones that got stuck. What a pain

Likewise. It doesn't happen very often but when it does I just do a hard reboot. That usually clears it.

I'm still stuck with an app on my iPhone that doesn't clear with a reboot and can't be uninstalled.

Try quitting the AppStore from the task switcher, putting your iPhone into airplane mode and doing a hard reboot. Doesn't always work, but worth a shot.

Thanks, but that didn't work either. I think that I have an issue in that the app purchase didn't go though. I tried to get the app when it was reduced to free.

In the first image, deleting doesn't do anything.
The second image shows that I don't own the app either. I don't want to have to purchase it now at a cost to be able to resolve the issue. It might have to wait until my next back up & restore from backup.

I hadn't tried that, so tried it now and it didn't work. I also tried turning on automatic app downloads and restarting. Still can't get it to delete.

Blimey that's a persistent bugger. Only other thing I can think of off my head is first make sure iTunes on your computer has downloaded all of your available apps and updates. Then do a sync with it. Even if you're not normally a sync with iTunes person, sometimes it can tidy up loose ends.

Other than that, put it in a folder that's got a couple of pages of apps in it so you at least don't have to look at it :D

Thanks for all of your suggestions. I had my iPhone sync with iTunes tonight, but it didn't change anything.
I can think of two options to try.....one is to purchase the app so as it downloads, the other is to restore my iPhone from backup and I think that it will not return since I haven't actually purchased it. I think it was a free app that I went to purchase and I got a message saying that the app could not be purchased right now since it is being modified. Somehow I have the app icon greyed out on my home screen though and don't have the app in my purchased apps. I'm sure that this second method will work since I had another rogue app another time that I removed this way....although I cannot be certain that the situation was exactly the same and that it couldn't have been resolved another way.
I'm in the process of downloading my purchased apps and updates to iTunes. It will take some time still since I have a lot of apps. I'm not in a hurry, but once it's all in order, I might restore my iPhone from backup again and report back.

But for some reasons sometimes it doesn't work. Especially with app updates. I let them to update by it self.

I backed up my iPhone 6s to my MacBook Pro last night, erased all content & settings on the iPhone, then restored the backup via iTunes. This did resolve my issue like I thought it would since I hadn't purchased the app that had a blank icon on my home screen. That app couldn't restore and so it has now gone. It's a bit of a pain to do since I'm without my iPhone for around 1.5 hours, but I'm happy that it cleaned out the app.
