In Mojave (APFS volume), after using BC assistant to automatically partition/formato to NTFS, on reboot, it boots into windows setup from ISO direcly (which is what i find quite convenient :) )

However, when i get to screen you see list of partitions "BOOTCAMP" selected by defult, but when i try and proceed i get an error:

"We couldn't create a new partition or locate existing one. ....."

I've done PRAM reset/SMC,and also afterwards booted back into OS X, removed partition and re-did it via BC,but n solution.

I'm starting to now think the only wya I can do this is maually create via Disk Utility, and download BC dives from Apple on USB

It's not the best user experience, but Bootcamp assistant doesn't actually format that partition NTFS. It just sets up the partition, the BOOTCAMP name so you can easily find it, and you have to reformat it from the Windows installer to NTFS before proceeding with the Windows install. - That's at least how it worked last time I did this
