As the subject says. I'm not expecting the next drop to be out yet, but there doesn't (yet) seem to be a way to force System Settings to check for an OS update:

As you can see, the last time it checked for an update was almost three days ago.

Has anyone figured out a work-around?

Thanks. That expectedly didn't find anything, though when I went back into the Software Update section of System Settings, it seems a refresh was forced, which is nice. I'll test again later to see if the softwareupdate -l always does that, or if it was freaky coincidence. ;)

I also find that "System Settings... -> General -> Software Update -> Automatic Updates -> Options" also causes a refresh of the software update.

EDIT: You have to restart "System Settings..." anew each time you wish to refresh the software update.

You can also press COMMAND and R at the same time to force a refresh when inside the Software Update pane. At least, that's how it worked in Monterey.

⌘R no longer does that, at least not in this first beta.

Second Beta have been out since yesterday - Build 22A5286. As I posted in another thread. I still don't get WiFi or Internet. My ethernet ports are listed as not connected when I have two printers connected.
