I have a Mac Pro that has a faulty PSU that needs replacing.

I have removed the supper drive and T10 screws holding the PSU in. Slide the PSU towards the empty superdrive space and tried to remove. However there is no give on the power cables and I can not remove the the PSU enough to access the cables.

The following youtube shows the process I am trying to complete

Here is a video showing the issue

If anyone can help me release this PSU I would be extremely grateful

Did you look at an Apple Service Manual for your Mac Pro model ? If you tell me which model you have I can send you a PDF to an email address.

Looking at them, I can see that there is a metal plate at the back of the optical bay (motherboard side) that needs to be removed to have access to the power cable.
