Hi All,

I wasn't sure what forum this belonged in so I apologize if this is the wrong area. I'm having a very annoying issue.

For the past couple months I have been using my Panasonic TCP50S1 plasma TV as an external display for my Unibody Macbook Pro running snow leopard. It has been wonderful to watch video from my Macbook on my TV.

I did a software update last week and now all the sudden the macbook pro won't send a signal to the TV. Every once and a while I'll get lucky and it will work, but most all the time it won't work. Strange thing is that it will still work when I used my PC's LCD monitor as an external. Does anyone have any idea what I could do to get this properly working again?

Oh, and just to make sure the TV was working I hooked it up to my girlfriends Macbook running Leopard and it worked no problem.

Thanks for takin a look!

How are you connecting the MBP to the TV? You in clamshell mode (MBP lid closed)? (which would require power to the MBP to work).

Did you try going into the display preference pane and clicking "detect displays"?

Yeah I've tried that to no avail unfortunately. I was on the phone with apple for about an hour today and they ran me through a battery of tests with no luck :( However, they are going to send me a replacement mini-DVI adapter to rule that out as a cause. I'm hoping that is all that the problem is.
