I accidentally downloaded the wrong version so I now need to delete it from my Applications folder. However, every time I try I receive a message that it can't be moved to the Trash because it is open. It is not open and when I try to do a Force Quit it does not shop up in the window. I tried rebooting and I have the same problem. Any suggestions?

Thanks

There's probably their 'Mini' menu bar code still running. Check and see if you have the top menu bar portion of 1Password running, and if so, right click and Quit.

You could also try one of the app remover programs like AppZapper to flush it out.

I do not see anything in my Menu bar. do have the extension installed in Safari, the box is not checked to activate it so it is turned off. When I try to delete the extension it indicates that it is part of the application and I need to delete the main application, which I am unable to do....

Unless you are referring to something else? Thanks!

Open 1Password, hold control+option, and click the main "1Password" menu item at the top of the screen. It changes "Quit 1Password" to "Quit 1Password Completely", which quits the background stuff getting in the way as well.

Or just open 1Password and do the following keyboard combo: Control+Option+Command+Q

That does the same thing.
