Unable to remove old iCloud Account

Not sure if this is a Yosemite problem or general problem.

I changed the email address on my iCloud account from Google to Outlook(I've learned to never do this) and all kinds of hell has popped up.

I'm not able to remove the gmail associated email from my iCloud I get this issue:

Your iCloud account couldn’t be removed at this time.​

Turn off all iCloud services and try again.​

The problem is all the services are greyed out and no way to uncheck the "Photos" one.

Anyone with suggestions?

If you're using Yosemite, it's in beta, and not ready for prime time. Could be associated with that.
