Hi all,
I've originally partitioned by 250GB hdd into 80GB(master boot where OS X is ) and 160GB for data storage. Now I want to resize it to 100GB n 140GB respectively. I can change the partition size of the 160GB easily but somehow I am only allowed to reduce the size of the 80GB (OSX partition).

Am I missing out something? Is there any method to do it correctly? Thanks first.

yea you would need to reformat the whole drive that means all your files would be delete, but if you have a 250GB External HDD move every thing there then reformat then move everything back, that is your only solution

Thanks for ur suggestion but that's the two obvious answer that is out of the qns. I believe that there has to be a better solution from more savvy users. I guess the answer lies in "why the master boot-up partition cant be resized freely as other partitions"....

Anyone out there?
