So, last night's security update broke my 12-inch PowerBook. No big deal, because I'll just restore from Time Machine.

Only problem is, after booting from install disc and choosing "Restore From Backup," nothing happens. NOTHING.

I looked in Disc Utility, and my PB recognizes my Time Machine Backup drive.

I don't know what to do or where to turn. I'm super-pissed at Apple, right now...

It should read the Time Machine drive and then show you a list of backup points to restore to.

You could just Archive and Install you know. Don't do anything with the Time Machine drive nor the user contents on your PowerBook's drive just yet.
