Unable to see last time date in WhatsApp

I am unable to see any contacts of mine their last seen status but can see when they are online... what would be the reason and how to get this ?

By the way the users did not hide their status.

That's the reason 🙂 when you don't share your last seen you won't be able to see other people's last seen.
