Hello,
I'm in a hotel, and trying to send mail from my .mac account using my mac mail program in Leopard. I can receive, I just can't send. This is the message that I'm getting.

Here's the message I'm getting:

The SMTP server “smtp.mac.com” doesn’t support authentication. Please check your account settings and try again.

Select a different outgoing mail server from the list below or click Try Later to leave the message in your Outbox until it can be delivered.

it also says my smtp.mac.com is offline why?

Thanks
Chris

like i said before

hello again,

i saw your comment and it's what i said when we were in the store. due to fees and/or encrypted coding the email may not send. it is for the protection of the hotel. though i would imagine if you tried to connect directly to a ethernet port that might just do it. if you are able to figure it out please let me know.

good luck.
