unable to use installer for apps

I manage to jailbreak my first generation Ipod V1.1.5 with Ziphone. I think everything went well, I have the Installer icon but it won't install the apps. When I go to install it comes up with the following message:
Error Package download failed: lost network connection.
Just as a note I managed to get Icopter installed both time I have jailbroken the ipod.
Just to emphasize internet WIFI works ok as I can search the internet and get email. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Installer has been dead for two years. Updating to 3.1.3 (it can be done for free, don't ask how on here) and jailbreaking with jailbreakme.com is the only option for you.
