Hello, I am trying to show the contents of an iPad Pro 12.9 (2nd generation) on a Sony TV running Android OS via Mirroring. Although it seems to keep trying to connect, it can't. What is wrong?

Also Sony Android TV here and AirPlay to it from my iPad. Not sure if you just want to mirror, but AirPlay works well for me. Mirroring also works. Make sure your Sony is connected to your Wifi network with a good signal and selectable from the iPad's device streaming choices. You may need to go to the Airplay & HomeKit setting on the Sony to activate AirPlay and select AirPlay as the input source.

It looks like my Sony TV requires Miracast for mirroring to work. iPad does not support Miracast. Any good way to make it work? I think some apps claim to make iPad Miracast compatible but not sure if they really work.

Just double checked the specs of my 2017 TV. No mention about AirPlay.

Yes, that explains it. I didn't realize it wasn't a recent model. Hopefully the Miracast solution will work. Or otherwise Apple TV via HDMI.
