We just sailed across the Atlantic and coming in to Grenada my iphone slipped into the ocean with all my photos and videos since we left Scotland in August.
I was gutted.
3 days later, my OH hired a diver and amazingly he found the phone.
The leather case was covered in slime but to my utter astonishment the phone was still working.
We washed out the ports in fresh water and the phone seems as good as new.
What were the chances ?
Feeling blessed.

This is why I backup everything onto icloud/google photos

Nice. Good for you

I was last feb in Australia for a couple of weeks doing a round trip.
One day while driving about 60km/h filming out of the window a wind gust ripped me my iphone out of my hand on the asphalt.

thought this was it. But fortunately the 5€ mask helped more than expected. Just a small mark at one corner. Glas front and back survived :)
There's your issue right there😉
Glad your phone survived! It's a far journey down here to capture some more photos!
