Why did snapdragon even bother upgrading their snapdragon processor, hardly a difference compared to last year. 🤦‍♂️😂

Apple should take the year off, give these poor souls a chance to catch up. 😂

Nobody does processor gains like apple.

That little champ is a beast, congrats.

As usual Samsung still has no idea, overheating left right and centre. 🤦‍♂️😂

The A14X Geekbench 5 benchmark around 1634 for single core and 7220 for multicore. The past next generations A series CPUs always benchmarked about the same as the previous AX versions. This means the A15 will benchmark around what the A14X does. That is a significant advance in performance for a low power CPU.

you reckon the next iPhone chip A15 will hit 7000 plus in multi core. big ask.

I’ve made my choice. It was tough. I think the S21 has a great camera system which in some ways betters the iPhone but it’s all about the whole package and the ecosystem. I’ve upgraded to the 12 pro max and it should be here on Monday.
You're in a for a treat, battery life is out of this world, LiDAR sensor does wonders for portrait photos. What colour did you get that bad boy in.

Part of the SD888 upgrade is the integration of the 5G modem (vs separate modem on the SD865).

Really worried about these overheating issues, especially on the Exynos. My country is an exynos country, and Samsung is starting to over-markup their pricing like Apple, meaning more than the US MSRP. The S21+ base is $1150 here, contrary to the advertised $999 USD. And Samsung actually assembled the phone here locally, so no excuses on any tariffs/import duties.

How's the return policy over there? hopefully if you run into any issues you'll be able to get a refund.

The exynos 2100 isn't off to a good start in Australia, especially on the ultra, a lot of people have been complaining about heat issues, some saying the phone gets to hot to hold, a few said they can't use the camera for to long without the phone saying it needs to cool down, especially when shooting 4K 30-60fps videos, also some concerns over battery life, one person lost 10% battery while browsing the internet for 5 minutes.

I got gold 256GB. I was thinking about space grey because my MacBook and iPad Pro are space grey but my Apple Watch and iPad mini are gold.

I’m coming from a silver 11 pro max. Same storage size.

Few people I know have the gold 12 pro max, the frame is absolutely stunning, others have the graphite also looks stunning, couldn't help myself once I saw that pacific blue bad boy, knew I had to have it. 🤦‍♂️😂 silver was my second option.

Can't go wrong with either colour this year, apple has done a amazing job this year.

yeah my experience with note 20 ultra too. great for normal photos so basically stills but for people/portrait mode/pets and kids it does struggle. big issue with note ultra was shutter lag speed which helped cause the blurry photos. Its suppose to be better with s21 ultra though so will see if that area is fixed.

I think iPhones and pixels are great for these areas of photo taking.
Yeah that’s why I can’t really consider a samsung phone. I take lots of pictures of my kids and the note 10+ took lots of blurry pics. Well i have other reasons too lol

What made you decide to upgrade?

Boredom lol Habit lol Curiosity about the cameras, FOMO over 5G, wanting to try the MAgSafe charger.

I’m sure you will upgrade for 12s max too lol. Least you know when you do sell it the value will still be really good. I know some here we’re able to sell their 11 pro max for £600-700 easily

What's surprising in this video is the ram problems the s21 ultra is having. Look at re opening of the apps , you would think the s21 ultra would hands down win, but the iPhone kills it . Weird
Memory management on the S21 not looking good. Samsung always thinks more gets them more to offset deficiencies they have in their phones. Can’t use more CPU cores anymore so now it’s more RAM or gazillion MP cameras.

It was interesting how the reviewer was touting the double tap on the side button to open the camera app. To bad he does not know about back tap on the iPhone, can use it to single back tap to open the camera app.

What’s crazy is that I saw another Youtube video where the RAM management on the S21 Ultra was fine and no issues. It’s crazy how different some of these review videos are from each other. I own the phone but haven’t had any issues with RAM at all.
