someone's jealousPeople are still buying the Edition ...? It was cool and the "IT" thing back in April/May, but now the WOW factor as long gone. It's like getting an iPhone Plus right now. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
no, same can be applied to getting any Apple Watch at the point. the WOW factor has worn off. Most Apple products have about a 2 month WOW factor before it just becomes another devicesomeone's jealous
I would guess the vast majority of people buying it aren't buying it for the wow factor solely, although it is cool. And besides with Apple Watch being released in different countries every few months, I guess the so-called "wow" factor won't go away anytime soon. The OP is from the UK based on his video and so it's new to him as they just started getting their watches. A Gold Edition in my book is definitely Wow regardless of how long it's been out, very sexy even if I'm not a big gold jewelry person. I guess the AW of any sort just has lasting power as more people try it out and buy one.
A big hello to everyone
I just got my Apple Watch and wanted to share my unboxing video for a close up look at this beautiful watch!
Nice watch. Love the box too! Did you film this in the toilet? Thought I saw some loo roll in the reflection on the screen?!!
Because some people always think they have the right to judge other and how they spend their money. They fail to realize that to some $10k is just pocket change. It would take 3.5 times the cost of the Edition to buy just one of these:Who cares as long as he has money and he's happy with it.

agreed if rolex made smart watches it would be nice and hopefully they can make affordable ones tooNot the best example as that watch is UGLY.
But there are some great Rolex's out there though, & I'm sure if you got the $$$ you own a "few nice watches".
Rolex smart watches might be nice and run well (depends on the OS, of course), but they won't be any more affordable than any other Rolex. The company survived the quartz revolution by positioning themselves in the luxury tier and avoiding the race to the bottom of cheap quartz watches. They're perfectly happy being at the top of the mid-luxury watch market.agreed if rolex made smart watches it would be nice and hopefully they can make affordable ones too
I can't believe you weren't wearing surgical gloves unboxing that. Man, I would freak out holding something that costly. Hope you like it. I got the stainless steel version, which is basically that one with stainless instead of gold. I honestly like the silver stainless color much better. I think it has to do with my college having silver as one of its colors. When I saw another unboxing of those, I did like the built-in charging mechanism to the box. That's an extra layer of protection against any scratching at night. I just got a $20 stand to use as a charger for mine.
I'd like to know how long you plan to keep that watch if they undergo the same upgrade cycle as iPhones. That's what I wondered about the gold ones. I'm hoping mine will last at least five years and need nothing more than a new battery at some point. If there's some must-upgrade feature, then I at least hope there is a good trade-in market. I'm fine with everything about it except it can always be faster and I'm game for any other useful health sensors that can be added.
It's definitely not the most expensive watch I've held
I do like it a lot more than I thought I would, normally always have silver watches.
I will keep it until the next version, upon which I will box it up and keep it safe somewhere.
Very true.no, same can be applied to getting any Apple Watch at the point. the WOW factor has worn off. Most Apple products have about a 2 month WOW factor before it just becomes another device
I got cold feet about buying a sport model. Then I decided to get the watch model. Then today I was at the Apple Store and almost got a blue leather band. But then they didn't have the right size in stock and I got cold feet on it again and decided to hold off. Thus you'll never see me with one of those watches even if I discover freaking oil on an asteroid or some nonsense like that!
Honestly if I had the money for that watch, I'd have me one of those tricked out Teslas. Then I'd buy half the people I know one of these because they're so neat and useful.
Glad you like the gold one. When I heard Jony Ive say sapphire is the second-highest transparent material next to diamond, that made me wonder if at some point they'll make an Edition watch with a diamond screen. I'm guessing the Queen of England would have one and nobody else.
I saw someone with an edition in public today. It looks better in person.
Westchester New YorkWhere were you? In the Houston/Galveston area? If so, you may have seen mine.
