Here are the photos in all there glory-ENJOY!
So I gather they are available in-store today. Great news.
And so Apple, the company who has been making packaging smaller and smaller, provides one dock in the space needed for three.
At my ATT store I asked the employee while buying the iPhone if they had the 3G dock and how much was it. He seemed to think the iPhone still came with a dock. I said it doesn't anymore and he had no idea and didn't think they had any yet.
Yeah, today nothing could surprise me anymore...
The reason the packaging is so big is to fit the manual
What's the little hole on the back of the dock near the sync cable connector?
That's the audio output (i'm guessing)
It's for the Audio Out and I think Video Out.
It says "Line Out" on my first-gen iPhone Dock.
As for the packaging, sometimes stuff is larger to prevent theft. I don't know if that's the case, but it could be.
Does an iPod touch fit in it? Apple say it's only compatible with the 3G iPhone but damn, if it fits a touch I'm getting one.
Because people actually need/read a manual.
$29 for this made in china piece of plastic that probably costs apple $4. What a rip-off. And to top it off it doesn't even come with it's own cord, you have to use the one that came with your phone meaning you can't use the cradle and the supplied power plug in two different locations, it's one or the other.
It is the audio out
Send me a free touch and I will check for you
How much did it cost?
thought about getting one but i would not work with the case I just got.
