Looking to swap the display assembly on my iPhone 6 plus. I found some on eBay but heard using non OEM assemblies can possibly brick your phone whenever you update software? Anyone have any issues using a non oem screen? thank you

I haven't heard anything about a panel bricking a phone, but I have heard that disassembling an iPhone can lead to a pile of tiny pieces on a table and lots of crying.
Seriously, is it really worth the effort to rip it apart, buy a no name screen, hope it works, hope it's as good, and try to reassemble it?
