Any benefit to update an iPad on 11.1.2 to 12.1.1b3 to jailbreak with unc0ver? Or better to stay jailbroken on 11.1.2?

Agree, better satbility from what I have read, more stock options and longer app support as app devs will slowly start dropping iOS 11 support

I’ve tried both No Update, Software Update Killer and have the tvOS 12 beta profile installed, but I’m still getting popups. Any ideas? Thanks.

Cancel that, NoBetaAlerts worked!

i tried NoBetaAlert and still got an update alert, so I tried Mikoto and that took the badge away and is set up as default to stop updates. We’ll see if this one works

Jailbroken my iPad last night. It’s gone flat today charged up and Cydia is just crashing. Tried running the jailbreak about 5 times now and still the same

I had success with b31 last night on my 7 Plus. Everything seems to be working fine. There isn’t a need to update and re-jailbreak with b33 is there? Thanks.
I presume you have to rejailbreak after every restart or if it goes flat.

I have B33 now either way after side loading with Impactor

installing 12.1b3, having had a jailbreak for years now. I suspect the only thing I'll miss is my banking apps. Has the detection block been improved at all since ios10?

If 12.1.1 b3 is still signing, it's much better

Thanks for the feedback. Made the switch from 11.1.2 to 12.1.1 b3 this morning, all went smooth. Glad to have further future proofed my iPad while in a jailbroken state.

All tweaks, so far, seem to be working that I care about. I did run into some issues with reapplying the unc0ver jailbreak hanging on a respiring. Hoping this was cleared up with their latest 33 release with unc0ver.

Unfortunately b33 got pulled

Yeah, just saw that. Was having similar issues with b33 as before anyways. Turning off ‘reload system daemons’ seems to be the remedy in the interim. Not perfect, but once successful, everything is fine. Minor growing pains that we will go through, but still grateful for the active work these guys are putting in for the community.

Where did you download iOS 12.1.1beta3/12.1beta3 from? Thanks.

Can you downgrade from 12.1.4? No correct?
Currently, yes you can. I put that beta on my spare iPod touch 6 running iOS 12.1.4. Although, I did start anew and need to wait for that device to be supported by a jailbreak.

b34 released with

  • Fix the root cause of the "Reload System Daemons" failures on iOS 12

  • Add an apt lists cache file to ease load on repositories

EDIT, this seems more broken on mine that b33 was
Agreed, can't even get it to JB

Question for you guys, let me preface by saying that I have been out of the jailbreaking game for years so I feel like a total noob all over. please excuse my noobness lol:

I am interested in downgrading to 12.1.1 B3 on my A12 device, in the event that the tool gets updated to support A12 phones. So my question is if I downgrade will I lose all of my data and not be able to recover from backup? I seem to remember that when you went backwards in iOS version you are not able to restore from backup...... OR will doing a simple downgrade without restoring leave my data/settings/preferences alone?

I'm in the same boat as you bigjnyc. I am backing everything on iCloud, and then once you're on 12.1.1 you should be able to download everything except text messages?
