I read that unchecking that option might prevent the new music mix from being horrible or might even go away. I listen to zero hip hop. I listen to a wide range of music from oldies, jazz, country, 80's pop, disco, soul, old r&b, christian and not one second of hip hop yet every week the "New Music Mix" gets worse more explicit than last week.

Before anyone says yes I have that useless block explicit music, disliked as many explicit ablums I can find, removed artists I hate which does not stop it from still showing up. Also my Favorites and Chill mixes are 99% accurate so that is not a issue.

Anyway unchecking that what does it actually do as all I can find online is turning it off for the HomePod which I don't have.

I leave that option on and for the most part it’s been good.

It doesn’t play random stuff that is never listen to. It doesn’t play new music because most of my music is from the 80’s, 90’s and early 00’s.

It’s the most accurate out of all the streaming services. When I say play me some music it will play about 70% of the songs in my library and 30% of songs which are similar. Most of the songs which aren’t in my library I will listen to as they’re closely matched.

With Spotify et al I end up skipping most of the songs it chooses. Also Spotify gets on my nerves. I asked for 90’s rnb and it gives me a play list of 90’s and 00’s Rnb and the majority of it is from the late 00’s and is rap and hip hop! Not what I asked for!!
