UA Record today and for some reason when I recorded a walk tonight it didn't display the map. It shows the distance and all the other metrics. I have allowed GPS to the app. Do any of you use the app and have any ideas for me?

Thanks in advance.

Did you walk with or without your phone? My guess is like many other apps, this one doesn't take advantage of the AW2 built in GPS. I just installed this and tried it out, went for a walk without my phone and I'm seeing no map either. I'll try with the phone later.

Not only did I have my phone with me, the application website states it uses the GPS from the S2 even if the phone isn't with you. I emailed their customer support and all they have suggested so far is I make sure I have allowed all the access to and from the health app. I let them know I had done that and am waiting for their next response.

Interesting. In that case I might give it a try today going for a walk, but it seems like you're trapping yourself inside another eco-system by using this (it doesn't export to Strava or Runkeeper). Not sure if you could use Tapiriik to get data out of it.

Logged a bike ride today that I started on the phone rather than the watch. Map shows up when I started the workout from the phone app rather than the watch. Next I will start from watch while leaving the phone at home and see what it does.

UPDATE: UA emailed me back and said in order to have the map displayed, the phone has to be with you. I must have read the note wrong about what it can do. Hopefully they will integrate the GPS from the S2 soon with an update.

UPDATE2: After 2 straight days of the app crashing in the middle of a workout, I gave up on it. I liked the idea of being able to log workouts, food, weight all in one app, but if it doesn't work reliably thats a no go for me.
