Wondering if anyone has mounted their mini under their desk lately? Thinking about how to most cleanly keep it out of the way, yet maintain access, and airflow!

Any recommendations are appreciated.

I’ve had my Apple TV, using industrial velcro, fastened upside down under my shelf for years.

Has never been an issue.

AppleTV is a lot smaller than a Mac-Mini. I would still be a bit worried just using velcro.....maybe it'll be fine, I'm unsure.

Has more to do with surface area to weight ratio with regards to the Velcro's performance. I found the MacMini surprisingly light. I thought it would be heavier.

I've been using this one for years through multiple iterations of the mini (including the current 2018 mini):

I had bought it on Amazon back in 2011, but it's no longer available (the link is even dead).

It's great b/c it rotates, so you can easily spin the mini around to access the ports.

I've had it wall mounted behind my monitor, side mounted beside my monitor and, now, under-shelf mounted beside my desk.

If you can find it, or something similar, I highly recommend it.

I have cord management under mounts from IKEA. They’re cheap, easy, and reliable.

That's cool - would be nice if it was compatible with a monitor arm.

I was lucky to get them today and just finished setting up.

Here is the back without Mac Mini and external HDD installed:

You should be able to use with any monitor arm that is VESA compatable. The main issue would being able to support the additional weight.
