This looks like a good option but I need some help understanding a few thing

Really I just want to just have extra space for all of us on our already existing Apple ID's

I don't want to share purchases - although can this be optional with each purchase?

I also don't really want find my iPhone on. Is this optional or always on automatically?

What happens to our current Apple ID's and existing photos?

Basically what is and isn't private and separate?

    Thanks

    Everything is private and separated.

You can decide if you want to share purchased apps. But that's either you share all or none...

    That's actually a good explanation:

And unless you create a family shared folder and put photos you want to share in that special folder, your photos are also always totally separated.

If it's just about more space you just share iCloud storage and that's it.
All your data in your iCloud will still be private.
