Not sure if this has been posted already, but now playlists with symbols in front of the name (for example, I have a playlist called "- Play These All" that combines a few smart playlists) now show up near the top of the list of synced playlists. In 3.0, playlists starting with symbols were all the way at the bottom of the list.

After installing 3.1 on my 1st Gen' iPod Touch, double clicking the Home button no longer brings up mini music controls in the middle of the screen. Shame as I used that a fair bit :(

The best I can do is, in settings, assign it to got to the iPod (i.e. the Music app).

You are doing this while the iPod Touch is asleep? That the way it works on my iPhone. If it is asleep and you double click the home button the controls come up. If ti is awake you just go to the iPod app if you have that setting turned on in setting.

Well, before 3.1 I could dbl click the home button anywhere and the mini music controls would appear. I never tried it when in standby before but I just tried that and the unlock screen appeared but also with music controls.

It shows up on mine. All you have to do is click on the blue arrow next to the network and the first button on the next screen is Forget This Network.

I know how to get to the screen with Forget this Network. But that option is no longer available on my phone. If you're still seeing it, then perhaps it has something to do with the network.

What I do know is that I use it all the time here at work. I'll join the guest network when I need to download something big, then dump it so I can do what I want on my phone without going through our corporate network. I even checked against a co-worker's 3.0 phone and he saw the Forget this Network and I didn't. We were on the same screen.

End result, Forget this Network is now gone, or gone under certain conditions.

I'd vote for "under certain conditions." I still see the "Forget this Network" option under both my home and corporate networks. The networks you're not connected to don't have that option visible, but that's nothing new (as you probably already know).

Something that has been happening since one of the first 3.1 betas is when in my phone's contacts list, I cannot use the alphabet slider on the right side of the screen. No matter what contact in the list I am on, when I try to use the slider to go to another group of letters, I get sent to the top of the list of contacts. Getting really annoying now that I used the official 3.1 OS.

It's an easy one to verify on other phones, so if someone could....?

Works fine for me on a 3G w/3.1

All kinds of crap bugs

:eek:Half my playlists now sync out of order, no matter how many times a reset, remove, or resync. Also battery life does seem to be suffering since 3.1. I like the option to copy and paste phone numbers but not really worth the hassle of having my playlists completely f-ed up.

Where did you read that it would? That was never planned, AFAIK.

It must be a setting that can be carried over via backup because if you jailbreak on 3.0.1 and upgrade to 3.1 and had SB Setting showing battery % it will remain even if not jailbroken anymore.

Load More Messages... (Email)

I just noticed today, that specific feature listed above won't work on my Yahoo! accounts as well as my Gmail account.

I've tried deleting all my emails and re-adding them but nothing, it still won't load after even tapping it. I'm doing a restore as I type this but this is just so weird: it just won't load more messages, is it just mine? I'm running a non-jb, 3G iPhone with 3.1 if that matters.

Update: still not working after a restore, is this because of 3.1? It was working fine previously.

Update: It turns out the mini controls DO still come up but only if the music is already playing. Before, I could bring up the mini controls to start the music playing.

UM. What?

The Battery percentage is only available on the 3GS.

I still get the bug illustrated below. This happens when I send an SMS, go back to the home screen, the "Your balance is xxx" screen shows up and I let the phone go to sleep. When I wake the phone, this happens.
I've got an iPhone 3GS running 3.1

3GS still using 3.0 and the mini-controls only ever come up if the music is playing. Otherwise the iPhone app comes up instead.

I don't remember this in 3.0 or mentioned anywhere else. When copying text when you go to drag the blue dots a magnified section appears to help you see what you are highlighting better.

what?>

Since The update my YAHOO MESSENGER ISNT PUSHING MY NOTIFICATIONS ANYMORE!

Im not sure if its push in general...

I have tried restarting my phone... turning on and off notifications.. look in settings of yahoo app.. ... still nothing..

anyone else having this problem?

I've noticed that my 3G randomly shuts off and has to be reset (home + sleep/wake).

Also since 3.1, my home button doesn't seem to be as responsive. I have to press it really hard or multiple times to get it to work.

I didn't read the entire thread, but I'd like to point out something if I may.

You can now switch to landscape mode even if you're shaking the iPhone. Before, if you were in Messages.app, it would not switch to landscape if your iPhone was moving too much. Now it switches no matter how hard you shake it.

If anyone has 3.0 or 3.0.1… try switching to landscape while you're shaking your iPhone… you'll have to stop shaking in order for it to switch.

I only original noticed this because I'd be walking and try to switch to landscape while I was walking and I'd have to literally stop walking to get it to switch.
