- Password entry in Safari now displays the last character entered, while leaving the rest of the spaces blank.
- Secure erase (Settings > General > Reset > Reset to factory settings)
- Take screenshot - Press Home+Sleep at the same time, then release
- New iTunes logo
- The calculator icon changed for the second time
- Holding down the ".com" button on the keyboard gives you options like ".org and .gov"

Anything else?

landscape keyboard is now flatter, making the keys more rectangular. This allows (makes easier) the use of the magnifying glass in landscape mode.

Launch the Calculator and rotate the screen to landscape to reveal additional scientific functions. Also, the Clear button now works as expected by providing Clear Entry anc All Clear functionality.

How about the fact that the auto-brightness works even after you've passed the unlock screen!

The calculate rotate feature is advertised on Apple's website.

1. Your iPod Touch will now beep upon receiving an E-mail.

2. You can watch movies either (horizontal) way.

3. Now if you are listening to music and the iPod is horizontal (in coverflow mode), you can double click the home button for the onscreen controls to adjust the volume.

4. You can now disable certain E-mail accounts if you want to.

5. You can turn location services on/off if you want.

6. If you tap and hold on an image in Safari, it will give you the option of saving that image.

7. Now if you tap the top of the screen (menu bar) while in the Mail app, you will automatically jump to the top, just like Safari did in previous versions.

8. The Calendars app now supports multiple calendar agendas.

I know some more, but they aren't useful really... :)

- When in coverflow, if you switch to the other landscape position, coverflow will not follow, whereas it did in all previous versions. This ONLY occurs when you have gone to coverflow from the now playing screen.
- That random ringer volume thing appears randomly now? Not sure if thats a feature...

Thats just about the only things I have found that haven't been mentioned, although I don't think they're quite features...

In the older iPod touch undocumented tricks thread, someone posted that when typing you could hold down the backspace key (keep holding) and move your finger left across the screen to delete words faster and right to undo. I never got this to work! Even though there was a video on youtube.

Does this work on 2.0?

I noticed that my IPods name shows up on my router now. It used to take an IP address and just said IPOD, unlike my other computers which used the computers name.

I noticed that coverflow now follows the music in the landscape mode now too. It didn't follow in 1.1.4 on mine anyway so this is new.

b.b.

Finally! What I've been waiting for!

I want iPod-style Coverflow in iTunes..

yeah thats suck when coverflow will not follow ipod position....

The one thing that I never understood is why does it not allow you to limit overflow by playlist/artist. It just seems like it would work if you selected a playlist in the portrait view and then went into coverflow for it to be limited by your playlist.

Do you know what I think would be a cool idea?

What if you could tilt the iPod all the way while using coverflow and the albums would slide all the way down to the far end of the covers.

I'm pretty sure you can do that in 1.1.5 :\

Not sure what you're referring to here, but iTunes has had a Cover Flow View for a while now. It's in the View menu.

On an iPod, when you tap an album cover, you get a list of all the songs in that album, then you tap one to play it.

In iTunes's full-screen coverflow (And non-fullscreen, for that matter), selecting an album only plays the entire CD, starting from Song 1.

In iTunes, a single click on an album cover doesn't play anything, it just lists the songs.

I see that someone here needs to get an iPod touch (<< that would be me). Or at least play with them more at the Apple Stores so I'm more familiar with them.
