I think another feature added to the iPhone/iPod Touch with the 2.0 software update was the ability to create On-The-Go playlists. This feature has been around for years on the iPods. (I covered up the songs in the picture)

^ Select 'Playlists', and the very top it will say 'On-The-Go'. Select that and you will be able to choose the songs to add.

No, it's been there since it first came out. My iPod pretty much lives on the functionality of On-The-Go playlists, and I can say it's been there since 1.1.1.

when i try to add all songs it adds nothing , seems to be the only problem i have with 2.0

Seeny mightn't mean all songs on the iPod, they probably mean the "Add all songs" option that appears on any album/song/playlist/artist, etc. menu when making an On-The-Go playlist doesn't appear to work for them.

A feature added that's not too documented is the ability to save images from Safari. It's certainly up there in my favorite features :)

change brightness while in video mode

Been reading this thread to find out if you can change brightness now with 2.0 when in video mode.

Apparently not. Pity.

That is the only thing that would make me jump to 2.0, despite all the ugliness. And no, auto-brightness does not help.

Apple, are you reading this? I can change brightness in video mode so easily on my iPod 5th gen.! Why can't you do it on the Touch, a real video player?

I was annoyed to find that the UK profile still forbids you from selecting the 12hr clock format

Press home button, go to Settings, adjust the brightness, go back to the video. :)

It's unnecessary to include an extra brightness bar when it's so simple to access to the primary one.

Thanks for making it obvious just how annoying those 6 steps are (including the change from horizontal to vertical and back again and finding the video. And if it's not right yet start everything anew. So if this is all so easy why did they implement brightness change in video mode on the iPod 5th Gen.? You must be a Windows programmer.

Agreed. The Samsung P2 has all the video related functions available from the video play screen. For that matter it has all the music and all the photo related functions available from their respective players. I think Apple just got so excited about how cool the touchscreen UI was that they overlooked obvious efficiencies.

I'm looking at it this way: There are things they could improve, and that means we can expect continuous firmware updates. No point in having it perfect, eh?
