All the sudden I had a message across my screen in white letters that said I needed to hold down my restart button, shut down and restart. It was almost like a blue screen with Windows?? When I booted back up it said that there was something unexpected that happened with OSX do you want to check the logs? I clicked yes but nothing popped up. Is there anyware I can check, is there a log of some sort that I can go to to look at what caused this? Just curious.

You can browse the logs using Applications > Utilities > Console
Click on logs and it brings up a list - you could check through
/Library/Logs > panic.log
or the Crash reporter logs
to see if you can find anything useful.
Might point to an issue with software or drivers.

That's about all i can offer i'm afraid.
