Unibody MacBook Recommendation for Shine / Protection

I thought I'd throw this tip out as a new forum user. I like to keep my MacBook in great condition. One day I used some car wax on the lid and around the palm rest of my late 2009 MacBook and it made the plastic shine so well. I was impressed so much that I actually do this every so often to add some shine / thin layer of protection to my Mac.

I'm wondering if anyone else out there has tried doing this as well.

Hmm, interesting. I wonder if it would work on my 13" MBP too?

I dont know, I would think the material being quite different it would not be the same shine / protection.
