I would actually be thrilled to have any type of mac store near my area the last one we had closed down 3 years ago. It was one of those small specialty stores.. it never had anything real new, but had a small used mac section. They mainly specialized in repairing pc's and macs. The University of Iowa Surplus is the only other place to get mac stuff(usually g3's with occasional g4's) The closest store that sells NEW mac stuff is over a 100 miles away!!(its also in the next state!!!)

ummm...if you are in school, or work, at Iowa you can get anything you want from the Apple education store. and yes, Des Moines is about 100 miles away, but it is in fact in Iowa. right smack in the center of it. there is an Apple store in the Jordan Creek Mall in West Des Moines.

Hmm... maybe I should do do another search at apple for an apple store near my area... last time I looked it said something like a 110miles to some store in the next state... It didn't seem to have a Des Moines Apple store listed.

I had that same feeling with iBooks in the store. 256MB of Ram. Eww...

When I bought mine, I popped in a 512MB stick in addition to the 256 before I even turned on my Computer. Outstandinig performance. That mini you played with needs more Ram. Period.
