Does anyone know how to uninstall the new evasi0n jailbreak? I tried restoring from a backup and that didn't do the trick...

I believe you need to restore iOS on the phone, not the backup. The backup is just your settings and preferences.

Thanks, I'll check it out when I'm home.

I always tell them "If you followed my instructions which is on the program itself, then you shouldn't have an issue. Don't install stupid tweaks either."

I hear you but you cant always be there to hold their hand.
Some people are better off staying stock🙂

Restore!! Dun Dun Dun! If you have a backup from before you jailbroke you can use that no problem

Yeah that's the truth. I always tell them "If my wife can do it, then you can too".

My buddy wants to JB his again, now that I'm back in the states I can show him.

Unfortunately, iTunes won't recognise my Evasi0n Jailbreak phone.

I'm sure I'll figure it out eventually, but this is a little annoying.

I am not new to jaibreaking.

If after closing down i tunes a few times to see if your iPhone is recognised then you could.......

Try putting it into dfu mode.

Well....

It took about fifteen minutes but iTunes finally recognised Evasi0n Jailbreak phone.

No idea why it'd do that.

Restoring now.

I said when Evasi0n came out that I wasn't even going to try it. The main reason I was jailbreaking in the past was iBlacklist, but between the iOS DND function and Youmail, I found that I could get by without it.

Couldn't resist trying Evasi0n anyway, and don't see anything spectacularly new in the Cydia warehouse, so I'm restoring.

🙂
