Hi,
long story, short story here.
I have downloaded an app from the Store thinking that it was native for the M1 but once I tried to open it, I had to install Rosetta 2 to run to but I don't want to install it (trying to reduce the issue with the swapping memory, if I can use all native apps without Rosetta2 I'd like to avoid to install it) but once I uninstalled the app because I don't need it, I can't close the installation window of Rosetta even if I choose the "not now" button
Is there a way to close it? I have only downloaded the app, but NOT installed Rosetta.

Thx

I have no clue what "issue" you think exists. Naturally, a native app will run without translation, but there is no reason to be afraid of Rosetta 2 translation. Just use your machine without worrying about "issues". Rosetta isn't going to hurt you.

My GUESS is that if you run Activity Monitor there is probably a Rosetta installation process you could terminate. However, if you only INSTALL Rosetta and never run any non-native apps, Rosetta will never run anyway.

Maybe was an "error" due to the fact that I had delated the app whit the installation window still open because once I restarted the Mac it disappeared

Rosetta takes up a trace amount of storage and doesn't load itself, I believe, unless you're running an Intel app for the first time (does the app translation, saves that to disk, then returns to the background). No harm to having it installed.
