is it as easy as deleting (command + delete) the application from the apps list and then emptying trash? or will there be some leftover folders/files in the os library somewhere that I will have to find and delete also?
Most will leave behind preference files, but they are very small. Most apps can be uninstalled simply by deleting them, but some come with uninstallers that are needed to remove them correctly.
