Uninstalling Canon Lide 300

I am trying to remove a CanonLide 300 scanner from my computer, but am having difficulty finding information online. My OS is Catalina 10.15.7 Any suggestions, please?

Not sure what you mean. Is the scanner plugged in to your computer? Unplug it?! I have the CanoScan Lide 300 which I assume is the same as yours and when I used it a while back it was very basic and straightforward. Please explain more fully what your problem is.

Sorry about the delay in replying. I no longer have the Lide 300, but it is still showing in my Printer/Scanner list (preferences] I want to delete it from there, as I now have another scanner. Just can't see any way of accomplishing this.

I'm running Mojave so can't check definitively for you. In Mojave there's a + and - option for adding and deleting items from the print/scan preference list.

Thanks for your help. Hadn't noticed the Add and Delete symbols. Now the scanner is deleted . Much appreciated.
