Im starting work on an app and wondered what would be the best approach for a future ipad version of the app, right now i don't plan on releasing an ipad version but plan to in the future. Would i still have to start the project as a universal type or can this be changed when i actually do start working on the ipad version. Thank you

Hi,

In my last app, I started with the iPhone version only. I then created the iPad version.

My advice: Create them both at the same time, it is easier as Xcode creates much needed code for determining the device being used. It took me many hours of comparing a basic universal app template to find how to differentiate between the 2 devices.

Good Luck:)
