universal binary size

    are universal apps bigger than power PC apps? because when i upgraded to leopard, i lost 2 gigs and deleted my previous system folder and cant figure out were these 2 gigs went.

    Yes. In order to be universal they effectively have to contain two copies of the app; one for each system. Thankfully, resources (images, nibs, etc...) are shared so apps don't double in size, but there's still an increase.

    Also, Leopard is just larger than Tiger.
