Universal Control doesnt work at all since i updated yesterday. Both ipad and macbook are updated to iPadOS16 and ventura but i dont see the iPad as an extendable device in Settings>Display.

Anyone else? Suggestion for fixes?

Same occurrence for me.

EDIT: I signed out of iCloud in my Mac Pro and logged back on. After a minute, Universal Control appeared as an option again.

Didn't have to sign out of the iPad, but might as well sign out of both devices and back to resync both.

I'm also seeing more problems with Universal Control between my 2 MacBooks after upgrade to Ventura (both matchines have been upgraded). It mostly works, but it takes a long time (minutes) after wake from sleep for it to reconnect. It can be forced to reconnect by disabling and re-enabling it in the Display System Preference^H^H^H^H^H^H^HSettings pane (which is though kind of PITA). It has worked almost flawlessly on 12.6.1 :-(.

Could it be wifi network is the issue? I’ve got both 2.4ghz networks and 5ghz networks to test here.

I found it as well not working. But in my case it was sufficient to start the screen mirroring from my MBP to iPad Pro, than turn it off and the UC started working immediately.
Of course all the usual requirements must have been met for the UC to work. Ever since updating to Ventura it was not enough but it looks like this workaround has fixed the problem for me. At least for now.

So you started sidecar, then disconnected it?
