Universal Plugins

Now that flip4mac went universal a month or so ago, are there any available universal plugins for PDF or some kind of word/powerpoint in-browser reader? I know Safari has PDF support, but it is not nearly close to acrobat reader. Downloading and opening in preview or office is fine, but I would prefer to keep it all in-browser and native on an intel mac mini.

Is there a list of universal plug-ins anywhere and are there PDF and office readers available somewhere?
