Universal Remote Control app for TVs?

Is it possible to use an iPod touch to control a TV? I just need the ability to turn the TV on/off and volume. Does such an app exist?

Do you have a TiVo? There are a couple there but check out the i.TV app. It may work and it is free.

Well the ipod doesn't have the ability to connect to a tv via IR any other way right now. You can't use blue tooth and you can't use Wi-fi..yeah your kind of out of luck

Looks pretty cool. If I didn't already have a Logitech, I might have given this a try. But I can't see spending another $50 for a second universal remote, no matter how cool it may be.

yea and be stuck with direct IR only. only local control, only IR control, etc. the list goes on and on...
