Unix command only partially remembered

a year or so ago, macworld's unix tip delt with making hidden apps have a semitansparent dock icon. this was possibly the coolest mac mod that i have done. unfortunately, i only remember about half of the command:

Dock.apple.com showhidden ~bool yes

something like that. anyway, to anyone who can help, i apprecate it

i dont know the unix command, but i know that if you download Tinker Tool you will have that option, and more.

TT is basically a GUI for most of the nifty little unix things like that

Really? I just usally go poke around in /usr/bin and /usr/sbin 😉
