Eraserhead macrumors G4 Jul 17, 2007 #2 Sounds like a dodgy widget, can you kill it in Activity Monitor?
S Sicarius macrumors member Original poster Jul 17, 2007 #3 I just Force Quit it in Activity Monitor, everything is getting back to normal. What's gonna bug me is not knowing what the Hell it was, since it wasn't visual, at least as far as I could tell. Thanks though!

iMeowbot macrumors G3 Jul 17, 2007 #4 To make sure you really have no widgets running, use these from the terminal: Code: defaults write com.apple.dashboard layer-gadgets "()" killall Dock (Dock and [empty] dashboard will automagically restart)

I iBunny macrumors 65816 Jul 17, 2007 #5 Is this like spyware or something? sure, you probly have to download it and execute it on your own, but I mean is this meant to be malicious?

Click to expand... Dashboard has the same guts as Safari. And just like Safari, it occasionally gets itself wedged. It's probably nothing worse than a case of that.
