I am thinking about getting a Mac Mini off of ebay and I found one that the seller does not know the password on the computer and has no disks with it. My question is, does Apple give you install disks if you ask for them? I did this with Dell and they sent the disks to me for free. Also if this doesn't work, I have a Macbook that came with Tiger on it, but I bought Leopard. Could I take the original disk from my Macbook and use it on the mini?

No, you could not use the MacBook's discs with the Mac Mini. You'd need to get new discs from Apple, which I believe they charge $20 for.

Duff-Man says...."does not know the password and has no disks" - that would make me a little suspicious about the 'warmth' of that Mini...oh yeah!

You can unlock the admin password by holding Command-S to boot into single user mode.

Type "passwd root".

Type a new password, confirm, and reboot.

Shazam.
