    wow, interesting. Maybe it was a software bug and now is fixed.

    In 2 years Apple improved this machine performance a lot a long with new OS'es every year... But this was supposed to be already "fixed" since it was released..

    Most of slowdowns on the 1st gen rMBP was due to mountain lion not using gpu acceleration for many things like scrolling. Mavericks fixed most of these issues....
