Unlimited Data Trick

Anyone with a link to the thread on how to do this, or just want to explain it here...I'd be willing to pay $5 more a month to get Unlimited...
I also have an old BBerry Pearl that didn't have 3G. Will it work the same on it, or does it have to be an iPhone 2g? If so I would have to buy one on eBay and then sell it back.

I managed to find an old an iphone 2 on ebay that is just for parts, but powers on. Is powering on good enough? what exactly do i need the iphone 2 to do besides just inserting the sim card?
i have one in good shape $125.00 firm i used it for a backup phone,at the first of the year ill be getting a 4 so my 3gs will be my new back up phone.
I've done this on my 3GS and my wife's iPhone 4. We didn't have data plans yet (refused to pay for a capped service), so all we did was put the card into a 2g I snagged on Craigslist for $50, activated the data plan through iTunes, made sure it was showing on the account, and then put sim card back into our actual phones. I received the message about 12 hours later, but hers took nearly a week on the 4 for some reason. Regardless, we both now have unlimited data. Woot! I love internet forums!
So, I tried this once and the $20 plan didn't show up in my account. It just remained at 2gb. Does the change take place immediately? I'm willing to try this over the holidays again. I'll have to go to the att store and get a new sim so I can activate the 2g again though.
Well, the problem is I already stuck my micro-sim in there and activated the iphone 2g, so now when I stick it back in there I can't reactivate it with the unlimited $20 plan.
Or get a simcard adapter and use your i4 sim in the iphone 2G.
you dont need no sim card adapter. All you need are precise hands and tape! BTW, I got this to work for me today.
True, you can make a homemade solution with some hard plastic and precision cutting and duct tape but not everyone is good at it and could cause probs if not done right.
