I am looking at getting an Iphone and im already a at&t customer on a family plan. My Question is i have an family msg unlimited plan that gives every phone unlimted sms for $30, but i cant figure out if this will work with the iphone data plan or if i will have to add sms messages seperately..

thanks

thanks..

i just read a post on here saying that you can add the $5 unlimited mobile to mobile plan to the 200 sms one so maybe there is some hope..

I just did this yesterday for my 2 iphones. You need to ask AT&T for "iphone data + 200&M2M."

I am also on the Family Plan with one iPhone as one of the lines.

The Family Unlimited Messaging works fine with me -- I have not been charged extra for any texts (and you can be sure that I've sent over 200).

my family has the 29.99 dollar a month unlimited texting for all lines. when i got my iphone, i was under the impression that i would still need a seperate texting plan, so i got the 1500 plan, but i still get unlimited texts.

i've been wanting to switch back to the 200 a month plan, but i don't know if i just got lucky and am still recieving unlimited texts. i guess it's worth a try.

I just made some changes to my account and they have backed off on the exclusive iPhone voice plans now. It used to be that you could only get their fixed iPhone voice plans but I guess it wasn't working out.

I now have a three iPhone family talk plan with 700 mins, 3x basic iPhone data plan (Unlimited EDGE + 200 SMS) and the $30 unlimited messaging plan. Nice way to save a good $30 a month from individual unlimited messaging.

Thanks for the help,

i just got it and its syncing right now... :D:D

I asked the rep at the store about the messaging and he said he didnt know if it would work, but it wouldnt be the first time i was given false info..

guess ill just go easy on the messaging thing till im sure...
