Unlock at&t iPhone 4s to use on Verizon

I've google searched this question and cannot seem to get a straight answer. Can I unlock an at&t iPhone 4s to be used on the Verizon network? I do have a working sim card from 5s that got messed up.

You may be able to use it without any unlocking. Originally the Verizon models would only accept foreign sims, but I believe they changed that.

As of iPhone 5 you can generally do that (although with 5 you still have some LTE differences). Before that, with the 4S, for example, the AT&T phone doesn't work with CDMA which means that even if it's unlocked it will won't work with a CDMA carrier like Verizon.

Thank you, that is what I was afraid of. Off contract phones are astronomical in price.

It's not possible.
An Att unlocked 4S will never work with any cdma carrier. Hardware limitation on that iPhone version.
