How do you defeat a security measure designed to protect the privacy and data of the owner from theft and reuse of a stolen device?

Is that your question?

Well we have jailbreaks all sorts of unlocks on this forum. The seller told me it could be done on eBay. So if anyone knows or can unlock an iPad please post here.

It can't be unlocked. Those offers are scams. You are the owner of a nice paperweight or door stop. Enjoy.

DFU mode?
LOL!

DFU Mode. Restore from iTunes…enter iCloud activation info.

Nope!

And as far as unlocks are concerned, that's about unlocking a phone to use on a different network. Not defeating a security feature.

Maybe get in touch with original owner to work something out? Or return the property to it's rightful owner?

File a complaint about the seller on ebay and get your money back if that is truly the case here.
