iPhone unlock iphone 3gs 5.1.1 baseband 05.16.05

hi guys,

ive been looking around everywhere and driving myself crazy trying to get this phone working!!

basically i've moved from australia to the cayman islands, and the LIME sim card i purchased is basically useless....

the phone is a 3gs 5.1.1 with baseband 05.16.05 & the three numbers on the serial are 227 which would indicate the 27th week of 2012 meaning i can't downgrade the baseband to install ultrasn0w and unlock correct?

does anyone know of any possible way to unlock the phone as I simply just want to be able to use the phone i paid good money for over here in the caribbean with LIME instead of my provider back in aus

any help or advice would be much appreciated 🙂

Your only option is an IMEI unlock from carrier who sold the phone or a grey market dealer

Yes, there's plenty of IMEI iphone unlock sellers on ebay.
Pick one that has good feedback on officially unlocking iphones and then your iphone will be factory unlocked.
