I want to unlock my 16GB iPhone 4S so I can put a Three UK SIM in it.

I can't pay the £20 to Orange as they want a receipt/Apple Store replacement receipt and I bought the phone 2nd hand/refurb from Amazon.

I've done a load of research that suggests the 2.02 version of the Gevey Ultra S GSM will do the job, but I can't find anything OFFICIAL from Gevey about iOS7 and/or baseband 5.0.02, and I'm very wary of fake Gevey products.

The only 3rd party IMEI solutions I can see want over £100 for an Orange UK unlock and it's really not worth spending that much on it.

Any ideas? Thanks

Bad news, if Orange won't unlock you are pretty screwed, there is no jailbreak unlock and as you say the non-official Apple database unlockers want a lot of money.

I think the cheapest I've seen was around £80 by one of the eBay unlockers.

Best advice, sell the phone as locked to Orange/T-Mobile/EE and find yourself an unlocked one. To be honest, on an old phone like a 4s the price difference between EE locked and unlocked is pretty negligible.

I've got an AU Japan locked iPhone 4s running 7.0.4 with baseband 5.0.02 and I'm using the GEVEY ultra sim. It allows me to make calls, send SMS's and even use 3g data, but it costs more on my prepaid sim from the Philippines. I got the GEVEY sim in Japan and paid the full price. I s too worried that I'd get a counterfeit one on amazon, so went directly to GEVEY..
Do you need the URL or can you Google it?
Cheers
