If you purchased subsidzed ATT iphone 5S. Your only two legal options are:

    1. Move iPhone to another carrier (like T-mobile) which will pay off you ETF in 2-3 months. Once ETF is paid off, than ATT will unlock your iphone

    2. Wait full 24 months and get iphone 5S unlocked via ATT official way as well

    Those are two legal ways

AT&T has a website page that you can go to and request an unlock.

    https://www.att.com/deviceunlock/client/en_US/termsAndCondition

My iPhone 5s is not even a year old and yet they approved my unlock. I restored from iTunes and it said 'Congratulations your phone is unlocked.'

It's worth a shot. The worst they can say is no...Good luck!

    Thanks for the link!

I got rejected... Guess I'll have to wait for my contract to expire.

How? I've submitted requests for at least 5 iphone 5s's and was denied every time because they're in contract.

I don't know what to tell you. I submitted twice and was denied the first time, but not the second.

The only thing I can think of is that I switched to the new Family Share plan and that confused their system.
